We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team at Brookline College in Albuquerque, NM.

 

This position operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve messages from voicemail and forward to appropriate personnel
  • Answer incoming telephone calls in appropriate manner, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department
  • Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail, when appropriate personnel are unavailable after asking caller if voicemail is acceptable
  • Welcome on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
  • Monitor visitor access
  • Ensure prospective students complete forms at the front desk and are announced to the admission representative
  • Receive, sort, and route mail, and maintain and route publications
  • Prepare outgoing mail.  Handle Federal Express, UPS, etc.
  • Maintain fax machines, assist users, send faxes, and retrieve and route incoming faxes
  • Perform other clerical duties as needed such as filing, photocopying, and collating
  • Data entry as needed
  • Computer use as required by Campus Director
  • Support all company initiatives by process and procedure as communicated
  • Work and communicate effectively with all campus departmental staff
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Comply with all State, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Must have experience in multi-line phone system, Microsoft Word, and general office procedures.  Must possess the ability to type 40 wpm.  This position requires the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.  Effective interaction across departmental boundaries must be maintained.
